We see the correlation between Mr. Scorsese’s idea and the way architects envision their design.

That’s why SBLM attended CINEMACON 2023 at Caesars Palace this April. This annual convention brings together members of the film industry to discuss the latest trends, technologies, and strategies. Simply put it is the largest cinema trade show in the world.

With SBLM’s motion picture exhibitor clients like Harkins, AMC, and Cinemark Holdings, we continue to seek out the latest in trends and technologies for theaters.  This is why Jeffrey Hill, AIA, Principal and Managing Director of our Dallas, office attends CinemaCon every year. This year he was joined by SBLM Project Managers, Tom Bach and Jose Martinez-Giron.  While having a good time hobnobbing with the biggest stars, producers and directors (including the aforementioned, Martin Scorcese), they are primarily there to meet with the folks that have the expertise in those new trends and technologies and learning it’s value and viability.

Meshing the tried and true with the state of the art is fundamental in all of our projects, but particularly exciting when it comes to entertainment design.
